Late September has me reaching for cozier, slower dinners, and this week's picks run from Mexican comfort bowls to early-fall Italian and a few lighter plates for busy weeknights.
A few faves I keep coming back to:
Chicken & Spinach Enchiladas Mole: mole was your top search this week, and this one delivers it rich and smoky.
Pozole Rojo: a big pot of pork and hominy in spicy broth, made for a chilly weekend.
Porcini Risotto: earthy and creamy, and it's on the table in under an hour.
The rest runs the gamut: golden crispy tofu with a zesty dip, Cuban pork sliders on Hawaiian rolls, a truffle-kissed wild mushroom flatbread, roasted beet salad with goat cheese and walnuts, orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe, slow-confit chicken shawarma, sweet-and-savory honey salmon, comforting spinach and asparagus khichdi, white bean cassoulet with chipotle sausage, baked cod with piquillo peppers and crispy breadcrumbs, and a honey fried chicken salad loaded with bacon and cheddar.

Bring a Taste of Myrtle Beach Home
Myrtle Beach has always had that classic vacation nostalgia for me, but on my latest trip, it was the food that completely stole the show.
From oceanfront she-crab soup and Carolina-style crab cakes to bourbon-glazed bacon, seafood rolls and one seriously unforgettable red velvet waffle, I came home wanting to recreate the dishes I was still thinking about.
So, together with Visit Myrtle Beach, we’re taking you on a food-filled trip through the Grand Strand with recipes inspired by some of the restaurants I visited along the way.
Inside the story, you’ll find seven Myrtle Beach-inspired recipes to make at home, plus the restaurants and dishes that inspired each one. And because no food trip is complete without a great drink, I’m also sharing one of my favourite cocktail discoveries from the trip: I Only Smoke When I Drink from O.A.K. Prime Kitchen & Bar.
Whether you’re planning your next getaway or just want a little taste of the South at home, consider this your edible introduction to Myrtle Beach.
And when you’re ready to taste the originals, start planning your own food-filled getaway with Visit Myrtle Beach.
